About ResignWise

What this site is
ResignWise is a free set of tools for people resigning in Thailand: a Thai and English resignation letter generator, a calculator for your last working day under Section 17 of the Labour Protection Act, an after-resignation checklist, and guides to the rights and steps involved.
It is built and maintained by a small team in Thailand. We are not a law firm, and the guides are not written by lawyers.
How the guides are written
Articles are drafted with AI assistance. Every legal point and every money figure is then checked against the primary source: the Labour Protection Act, the Civil and Commercial Code, and announcements from the Social Security Office, the Department of Labour Protection and Welfare and the Department of Employment.
Where no official source confirms a figure, we leave the number out, say that a condition exists and point to the office that can answer. Where the law is genuinely unsettled — paying out unused annual leave on resignation, for example — we say so.
Each article shows its publication date, and a last-updated date whenever the content has actually changed.
How the tools work
The letter generator and the calculator run entirely in your browser. Nothing you type is sent to a server or stored anywhere; the privacy policy has the details.
The notice calculator's arithmetic is covered by automated tests built from real Section 17 cases — notice a day before or after payday, short months — and we run them before any change goes live.
How the site is funded
ResignWise is free and is funded by Google AdSense advertising. Ads are never placed above the letter generator, between its form and the preview, or in front of a download. If affiliate links are ever added, they will be labelled where they appear.
Readers who want to can support the site through Ko-fi at ko-fi.com/resignwise. It is optional, and every tool stays free.
Advertisers have no say in what the articles say.
Reporting an error
If a figure or section number does not match the statute or the latest announcement, write to contact@resignwise.com with your source. We check it, correct it as quickly as we can, and update the article's last-updated date.
Everything on this site is general information, not legal advice for your situation. In a dispute with an employer, talk to your local labour protection office or a lawyer.
